Meet Our COACH
Coach Francois
In addition to coaching at Redline, Coach Francois is presently the Technical Director and Head Coach at Mitwest FC Screaming Eagles Pro Futsal, in Farmington Hills, MI. He is also technical Dir. for a regional United States Youth Futsal Academy and a licensed (Pre registered 2021) USSF intermediary agent. He wrote the book on applied analytics for player development "How To Win a Random Game" and I coded an AI tactical application "TheTacBot".
Recently, Coach Francois coached with Michigan Stars at the pro mens level with the reserve team.
Playing Experience
- Played for the Ashbury College, Ottawa Ontario HS Boys Varsity Soccer Team from 1988 to 1991.
- Trained under two “A” Licensed professional coaches both head coaches for the local professional club with European Club experience.
- Club player in the Gloucester Hornets Division II, Open Men’s in 1992
- Played for McGill University which was the Quebec State Champions in CIAU Division 1
- Played for Detroit United, NAISC, National Indoor Finalists 2001From 1996 to 2001
Coaching Experience
- Director of Europro Soccer Camps and Clinics for 20 camps where Coach Francois trained and recruited ODP level staff, implement club/team specific programs U9 through HS boys and girls teams
- Became a full time Professional Coach, Chicago, IL in 1996
- Coached the Minot Dreadnoughts, HS Boys Varsity Coach, Minot, ND, to their first ever post season appearance. They won the Bronze medal state tournament
- Coach and player of Ann Arbor United Soccer Club, who were Michigan Open Cup
Finalists.
- Club coach Boys U9 undefeated season; HS Boys Select Coach for Ann Arbor United
- JV soccer coach for Greenhills school (1996-2001)
- Coached Girls Premier Coach at Dexter Soccer Club, Girls Premier Coach , Dexter, MI during 2002 to 2007. The team was ranked Number 1 Michigan HS Girls club side, also coached U9 and U18 girls, multiple premier level tournament and season championships
- Washtenaw Christian Academy, Boys Varsity Soccer Coach ’03-’04, first ever post season appearance and next year two post season victories with 2nd place finish in districts.

Our small-group training sessions start every hour, on the hour. Sessions are led by our enthusiastic and proven coaching staff. During your free session, athletes will train while parents take a guided tour of our facility. We want you to immediately feel comfortable and part of our community.

Answers to FAQs
Q: Is there an age requirement or age limit?
A: RFH Futbol Academy sessions are designed for athletes 8 to 18 years old. We first group athletes by school-age level, then skill and experience to best coach and challenge each athlete.
Q: Can I choose any day or time for futsal/soccer and any day for speed, agility, and strength training?
A: You can book any day/time that is available. Select any day between Monday and Saturday for your semi-private training (outside of your soccer/futsal training days/times) which runs every hour on the hour during our operating hours.
Q: Do I need to bring my sports equipment?
A: Nope. Just wear comfortable athletic gear and gym shoes. Bring a water bottle.
Q: What do parents do while athletes train?
A: First time parents will take a guided tour of our facility. Once the athlete becomes familiar with our staff and facility, many parents drop their athletes off so they can go run errands, etc. Those who want to stay, watch the session, and use our free Wi-Fi are welcome to hang out in our lobby area.
Q: How much does it cost to participate in Futbol training?
A: Our goal is to make training accessible for athletes and families. We offer single session pricing and discounted pricing for multiple sessions. We reserve the best rates for our FLEX members.
Q: What will my athlete experience during their Futbol session?
A: RFH Futbol Academy sessions focus on the specifics of futsal and soccer, so athletes will be performing soccer/futsal-specific drills, learning techniques, and strategies.
